| Doxie-holics are us! - AKC Mini Dachshund Pups! |
We are owners and breeders of AKC mini registered dachshunds, in Liberty, Missouri just north
of Kansas City, Missouri. We are CRAZY about the doxies!
My mother bred standard doxies when we were growing up. Since starting our own family 26
years ago, we have bred mini doxies. We find them compact and compatible with today’s busy
lifestyle.
Our Doxies are our family members. They travel with us, watch TV with us, and for the majority of
the day they are with us. They are requested to visit schools and care centers. The love they
show for their family is nothing short of remarkable.
When our family life permits, we enjoy exhibiting at dog shows. We are not serious show people.
We show for enjoyment. Griffey took two blue ribbons during his first two AKC Shows :
Leavenworth (Kansas) Kennel Club, and Heart of American Dachshund Club. Griffey also took
best Doxie Pup at the Omaha (Nebraska) Show when he was 7 mos.
We enjoy participating in AKC Earthdog Trials. It is a GREAT sporting event. But that is another
story!
We found a new event - the Dachshund Field Trials in Illinois. There were 98 doxies of every
shape and size. We walked up and down, back and forth on 28 acres. We were soooooooooo ....
tired. However, I would recommend it to everyone, I just wished they were closer. Molly, Whoopie,
Griffey, Sam and Silverado all had a good time as well. We have alot to learn but want to try
again.
Jan 25,2007 the doxies participated on a photo shoot for Hallmark. What great fun. Met the
nicest people but won't know if they will use our photos unless we see the finished product on
the rack. When purchasing your 2008 Valentines, be on the lookout for a red doxie with a red
wig - it's MOLLY!
Bella is taking Agility classes. We passed to the next level of class. The challenge will be if we
can get her to do weave poles! She is having a grand time and I get tired. Didn't think about the
part where the two legged partner gets a work out as well. This is fun and we are learning so
much.
We breed for the love of the breed. We look for health, quality, confirmation, temperament,
intelligence, and love. We differ from some breeders, as we do not place our babies with just
anyone. We are selective. We look for people who wish to add furry four legged member to their
family.
Our babies are all born and raised in our home. They are held and touched from the very
moment they are born. All receive great amounts of TLC. We believe that all this extra attention
makes babies of exceptional temperament and intelligence.
